A number of countries have an Easter Tradition of preparing special food for Easter so that it can be blessed on Holy Saturday ready to be eaten on Easter Sunday morning as a deeply meaningful Easter breakfast. If this is not already part of your tradition you may like to start this year and prepare a simple container with a few foods as a shared family activity and decorate it together. The Booklet download below gives an idea of what foods you may add and what each of them means for Easter. On Holy Saturday gather together as a family and pray the Our Father; then thank God for the food we have to eat and ask Him to bless it. On Easter Sunday morning enjoy eating the blessed foods together as a family.
